By completing this short course, you will get the skills and knowledge you need to contribute to WHS risk management in your organisation. This includes identifying work health and safety (WHS) hazards, and assessing and controlling risks relating to those hazards.

In this role, you will contribute greatly to developing, implementing and evaluating risk controls in line with legal and organisational requirements.

This unit derives from the Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety BSB41419.

Completing the Contribute to WHS Risk Management BSBWHS414 course will give you skills and knowledge about topics, such as:

  • workplace hazards
  • risk assessments
  • risk control development and implementation
  • risk management compliance
  • risk control reviews
  • communication of WHS requirements and duties.

This course is an ideal stepping stone to a diploma, certificate or other qualification in work health and safety.

It could also lead to a fulfilling career as a safety manager or supervisor, safety compliance officer or site safety coordinator.

Speak to our team about applying for RPL. (Note: participants applying for RPL will be required to provide 2 industry referees who can validate previous roles and experience) Blended learning options are available allowing participants to conduct a mix of both online training and recognition of prior learning (RPL).
