WHS Career Kickstarter

Organisations across a range of industries value skills and knowledge relating to work health and safety, including government, defence, construction, energy, logistics and operations. This makes WHS an interesting and rewarding field with many opportunities for career progression.

This program is designed for people who want to find a job in a work health and safety field but don’t have the experience.

This short course will allow participants not only to learn valuable skills to increase their chances of career success, but it will also allow graduated student to acquire five (5) credit transfers if they are wanting to complete the nationally recognised Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety BSB41419.

The added bonus. When you graduate from this WHS career Kickstarter course you will gain access and be eligible to enter into the commence and completion of a senior qualification which is the Diploma of Work Health and Safety BSB51319.

Course Breakdown

This course requires the completion of 5 units of competency. These units are implicit of, and derived from, the BSB41419 Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety.

These units of competency have been developed in consultation with industry experts along with our facilitators to ensure the knowledge you gain is practical and applicable to the industry.

Students will have up to 12 months to complete this program. If the learner requires more time please see extension options in our student handbook or contact our office.

In this course, students are required to submit audio and/or video projects. Students are required to source their own participants for these tasks.

 

Delivery Options

This course is available through our online learning portal with full support provided by our student support team. Recognition of prior learning (RPL) can be conducted for one or all units. Speak to our team about applying for RPL. (Note: participants applying for RPL will be required to provide 2 industry referees who can validate previous roles and experience) Blended learning options are available allowing participants to conduct a mix of both online training and recognition of prior learning (RPL). Completion of this course (5 units) will allow all graduated students to enter the Diploma of Work Health and Safety BSB51319.
