Do you have several years of work experience in your field?
Hold an overseas qualification but it is not recognised in Australia?
Want to be recognised nationally for the skills and experience you’ve gained over the years?
Need a formal qualification to increase your earning potential?
Want to save time and months’ worth of study investment?
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is a skills assessment process where you can use your existing knowledge, skills, and experiences gained over the years within a specific field or industry, be it locally or internationally, to demonstrate your competency in particular unit/s and potentially convert them into a nationally recognised Australian qualification.
There are three key elements in the RPL process that must be satisfied in order to receive an RPL outcome including:
RPL can significantly help reduce the amount of study time required to receive a formal qualification. If any gaps are identified, we will work with you to address these gaps through site observations, videos, and/or formal training and assessment.
You may also be eligible for credit transfers. Credit transfers can be applied to your qualification if the unit of competency is deemed equivalent on the national register for vocational education and training. Acceptable documents include a statement of attainment, your record of results, or a valid USI transcript.
Having your skills recognised through RPL can have a wide range of benefits that contributes to your career and business outcomes, including:
Step 1: Complete a FREE online skills assessment – it takes less than a minute!
Step 2: One of our Education Consultants will contact you to discuss your goals, guide you towards the qualification that will help you improve your career and business outcomes, and detailing the process of putting together a portfolio of evidence so we can assess your eligibility.
Step 3: Once our qualified assessors have assessed your portfolio, we may be in touch again if any additional evidence is required.
Step 4: You will receive your RPL outcome which will include details of the unit/s you have been awarded and if there is a need to undertake other units in the national program.
You may have developed your competence through the following ways:
If you have answered yes to any of the above, we recommend getting your skills assessed today so you can start your skills recognition journey with Techskill Academy.
