The Certificate IV in Well Servicing Operations RII41220 can open doors to a wide range of roles, including a:

  • senior motorman (oil/gas offshore)
  • senior driller (oil/gas offshore).

In Australia, you must hold this qualification to work as a driller or assistant driller on an active oil and gas rig.

As an operator or driller in a well servicing operations, you would perform a range of complex and non-routine tasks. You would be responsible for the output of others and help develop technical solutions to non-routine problems. You would also work autonomously where required.

This RPL course will validate essential skills and knowledge about:

  • emergencies and critical situations
  • oil and gas equipment maintenance
  • standard procedures and safe working practices
  • well servicing nippling-up and pressure testing
  • non-routine and complex technical situations
  • well control and blow-out prevention

The RII41220 Certificate IV in Well Servicing Operations requires the validation of 12 units comprising of 6 core units and 6 electives.
